Prime Time classes

Small classes - lots of attention

There will be no more than 20 students per class.  Each class will be staffed by three qualified, experienced and caring professionals.

We offer three class schedules

  • T/Th a.m. 9:00-11:30 (3 years old by September 1st)
  • M/W/F a.m. 8:45-11:45 (4 years old by January 1st)
  • M/T/W/Th p.m. 12:45-3:45 (4 years old by September 1st)

Large group time

New concepts related to the weekly theme are introduced.

Instructional games centering on skills which include:

  • graphing
  • sorting and classifying
  • problem solving
  • matching
  • brainstorming
  • letter and number recognition
  • creative writing in the three day program

Music/movement activities

  • large group movement to music
  • class play with five children on the stage
  • songs 
  • fingerplays

A story completes group time which emphasizes:

  • rhyming
  • prediction skills
  • memory building activities
  • repetition
  • story development (plot, characters, etc)
  • introducing authors and illustrators

Choice time

During this time children move freely through three rooms containing a snack, a teacher-directed art project, and a large motor activity.  This helps build their decision-making skills.

Large group time

This second group time reinforces concepts learned and wraps up the day.
